Zambia's Livingstone
Livingstone
The words of David Livingstone, “On sights as beautiful as this, angels in their flight must have gazed,” most aptly describe the utterly heart stopping beauty of this breathtaking natural World Wonder. Known to the local Kololo people as Mosi-oa-Tunya, or The Smoke that Thunders, Victoria Falls is truly as sight to be taken in. Almost two kilometers wide and 108m high, with an average water flow of one million liters per second, Victoria Falls is nothing short of astonishing.
Visit during the rainy season and enjoy a misty bath for almost a kilometer away, or wait until the Falls have tamed during the dry season and experience white water like never before.
