Covering almost the entire eastern region of Zambia, the Luangwa Valley offers the most spectacular collection of national parks found anywhere in the country. This is “Real Africa,” where herds of antelope shelter under thorn trees and predators skulk in the shadows.
The Luangwa Valley is a breathtaking landscape highlighted by its imposing escarpment, a natural beauty mark that may be attributed to the valley’s location at the very tip of the Great Rift Valley. To the west, view the Muchinga Mountain Range, offering the natural bounds to the valley and its parks. The floor of the valley itself stretches 1000 meters below the surrounding plateau, a captivating site, indeed.
