Tanzania's Northern Sector
Ngurdoto Forest
Within this picturesque forest carpeting the slopes outside the Ngurdoto Crater, walk through the fairy tale like forests compiled of fig, olive and wild mango trees. Unique to the collapsed crater of this scenic forest, the Ngurdoto Crater appears to hold two cones, a truly captivating site in combination with the buffalo and other animals that make this swampy and well protected site their home.
Just west of the crater, explore the Serengeti Ndogo, an extensive area of open grassland and the only place in the park where herds of Burchell’s zebras may be found.
